Four distinct lines, each originating Downtown, will take you through the French Quarter and beyond to places you might not otherwise get to see.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"color4-color\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Saint Charles Line<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vintage streetcars built by Perley A. Thomas Company still run along a 6-mile crescent from Carondelet at Canal Street in the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/neighborhoods\/downtown-cbd\/\"><b>Central Business District&nbsp;<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">through the oldest and most majestic section of&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/neighborhoods\/uptown-garden-district\/\"><b>Uptown<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;New Orleans, around the Riverbend to Carrollton at Claiborne Avenue.&nbsp; Swaying along&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/streets\/saint-charles-avenue\/\"><b>St. Charles Avenue<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;through a tunnel of Live Oaks, the streetcar passes dozens of antebellum mansions,&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/listing\/loyola-university\/33243\/\"><b>Loyola<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;and&nbsp;Tulane&nbsp;universities, breathtaking&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/listing\/audubon-park\/32167\/\"><b>Audubon Park<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and fine hotels, restaurants and bars.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"color4-color\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Canal Street Line<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A 5.5-mile route from the foot of&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/streets\/canal-street\/\"><b>Canal Street<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;through the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/neighborhoods\/downtown-cbd\/\"><b>Central Business District<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp; and into the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/neighborhoods\/mid-city\/\"><b>Mid-City<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;area. The line ends at City Park Avenue at the historic cemeteries or \u201cCities of the Dead.\u201d Get out and walk around. Some of the most interesting architecture in the city is right here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Want to spend a leisurely day in City Park, or browsing around New Orleans Museum of Art? Hop on any of the Canal Streetcars that say CITY PARK\/MUSEUM on the front window sign. The final stop on the City Park spur is the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/listing\/new-orleans-museum-of-art\/550\/\"><b>New Orleans Museum of Art<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It\u2019s filled with treasures from Degas, Monet, Picasso and many others, and is home to a magnificent sculpture garden you can wander through for free.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"color4-color\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Riverfront Line<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Six vintage red streetcars operate along the popular Riverfront line which will take you from the quaint shops of the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/listing\/french-market\/193\/\"><b>French Market<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;to the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/listing\/audubon-aquarium-of-the-americas\/312\/\"><b>Aquarium of the Americas<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;and beyond. Shopping, dining and sightseeing are just a streetcar ride away. The Riverfront Line also passes by the Outlet Collection at the Riverwalk, the shops at&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/listing\/canal-place\/477\/\"><b>Canal Place<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/listing\/harrahs-new-orleans-casino\/4306\/\"><b>Harrah\u2019s Casino<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"color4-color\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Loyola\/UPT Line<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2013, the 1.6 mile Loyola Avenue\/Union Passenger Terminal loop opened, giving visitors who arrive by Amtrak or Greyhound an easy, economical way to see the city and get to their hotels. From the Union Passenger Terminal, the Loyola Streetcar&#8217;s first stop is&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/streets\/julia-street\/\"><b>Julia Street<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the major corridor of the city&#8217;s&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/neighborhoods\/arts-warehouse-district\/\"><b>Warehouse Arts District<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The next stop is Poydras Street, the center of the city&#8217;s Financial District. The third and final stop before reaching Canal Street is at Tulane Avenue, the hub of the Medical District.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"color4-color\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Rampart\/Saint Claude Streetcar<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take a ride on the Rampart\/St. Claude Streetcar. In 2016, streetcars rolled on this line for the first time since 1949. This line rattles by St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, where Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau\u2019s tomb can be found, and Louis Armstrong Park, home to Congo Square. You can also visit the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/streets\/saint-claude-avenue\/\"><b>St. Claude Arts District<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;in the culturally rich&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/neighborhoods\/marigny-bywater\/\"><b>Marigny\/Bywater<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. To prevent any&nbsp;surprises, check times, hourly rates and in-and-out privileges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"color4-color\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><b>Parking Meters<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most of the city\u2019s meters accept dollar bills, credit cards and the Parkmobile app. Please read the meters before you park. Parking is prohibited at meters in designated rush hour zones from 7 a.m. &#8211; 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. &#8211; 7 p.m. and it can get tricky during parade season. Also know that broken meters are not free passes.
