ACTIVITIES

Friday, July 16th

City Park New Orleans
56 Dreyfous Drive
New Orleans, LA 70124

Meet at Café Du Monde in City Park

City Park is as magical and unique as the city of New Orleans. The 1,300-acre outdoor oasis has enchanted New Orleanians since 1854, making it one of the nation’s oldest urban parks. Each year, millions of visitors stroll under the same historic oaks and picturesque moss canopies that served as the backdrop for dances, concerts and even duels or “affaires d’honneur” for generations.

You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the Park which is host to the New Orleans Museum of Art, a newly extended Sculpture Garden, City Putt Mini Golf, Story Land, and the Louisiana Children’s Museum.  Cruise around Big Lake, discover the several playgrounds, explore the City Park track designed for the 1992 Olympic trials, or enjoy gallivanting under the world’s largest stand of mature live oaks. Those looking for water-bound adventures can venture over to Big Lake and select from a wide variety of boats including kayaks and pedal boats.
